St Swithun’s Brass Band has been a proud part of Bridport’s community since 1952. For decades, the band has brought music to local events and inspired generations of musicians to pick up an instrument and play.
In Spring 2026, the band thankfully raised enough funds to purchase new band uniforms which enables the band to continue looking fresh for their on-going engagements. This has been the first time the band uniform has been renewed since starting.
Now in its 75th year, the band is in desperate need of new music to refresh their library. A considerable amount of the bands music is either missing parts, damaged or outdated, meaning the amount of music the band can use is very restricted.
New pieces of music can range from £30 - £150, so purchasing new music always presents a big expense .
We’re reaching out to friends, supporters, and the wider Bridport community to help us raise funds toward new music. Any contribution—big or small—will make a real difference and help us continue performing proudly and professionally.
