Story
Hi everyone and thank you for visiting this page.
I am fundraising to purchase a Community Public Access Defibrillator (CPAD) for St Thomas Church and the Millennium Centre, after a friend took ill during our daughter's Christening in June and a defib was requested but not available.
Many people use the Church and Millennium Centre on a weekly basis, and with so many emotive services happening at the Church, such as weddings, funerals and remembrance services which can trigger cardiac events, it worries me that there isn't a potentially life saving device, such as a defib available.
I am trying to raise approx. £2000, which should cover the defibrillator, a case for it to go on an external wall, insurance and possibly some training for members of the community.
If you can donate, or get involved in fundraising via your own business, service or local group such as raffles, bake sales, sponsorships, or own clothes day with the school, or car washes then Id really appreciate your input and involvement.

Such a strong need for this to be available locally. An ambulance will always be some distance away from St. Thomas church
