Story
Well im not trying to solve anything..and i beleive the most important thing is the support of friends family and amazing charitable organisations such as Maggies..Although i only used them for the use of a financial advisor and a custard cream biscuit..when i came out from my session i had a real eye opener when the guy said we need the use of the room as a young couple have just lost their child..Suddenly i was back in check a bit..When i was told i had Cancer my first thought was shit..wheres all the blood just gone from my face..and what about my daughter she needs me..Lastly looking out the window at my lamborgini in the carpark i thought well what use are u now....
I wont go to much into detail but i lost my bladder (must have fell out somewhere) WONDER IF ITS IN A PICKLE JAR SOMEWHERE???
My daughter still has her dad and my parents and sister and friends still have me to annoy them a bit longer..I dont like fuss and ive come to realise im an extremely strong minded positive individual and wonders with my cast iron attitude, why im not a millionaire by now??? ..What im saying is maybe i hate a fuss but i like to know someones there...maybe i can cope and keep getting back up..but some people cant..some people really need the support of organisations like Maggies..Maybe they dont have friends or support of a family..
Everest has always been in my mind..But always been financially out of my reach..but something id love to do..Since being in hospital a number of times the need to see her with my own eye has grownThe next best thing being Base Camp.. and after reading other peoples storys and watching films about her the need has massivly grown till i can taste it..So i thought why not raise money and challenge myself at the same time...So here i am..
Base camp still sits at 17,600 ft and is in the lap of the highest mountain in the world..The trek can still take 7 to 20 days dependant on fitness and routes etc..I will need to be very fit with good stamina and bearing in mind i now have a Stoma bag instead of a bladder ill have a slight disadvantage with constant fear of leaks..also keeping hydrated is a pain because i cant hold it anymore like normal humans..I need to look into will the bags balloon also due to altitude..Sleep maybe an issue too with having to be plumbed into a bigger bag at night..Also ill need supplies such as stoma bags..wet wipes..dry wipes..and good hand hygiene..the flights alone will be a challenge..Altitude will be a huge factor too as you never know how it will affect you...
I plan for November time in 2019 as its a good window for the best views..Plus i will need boots..and warm kit..and decent pack..
This will test me mentally and physically and wont be a walk in the park..also if i can do a slighly less touristy route and make it even harder on myself i will..
