Story
While some schools have been able to source supplies of hand sanitiser to help protect staff from Covid-19, some have been left with very little or no sanitiser at all.
I have been involved with primary schools over the previous couple of years as a trampoline coach, running a weekly session for primary school children at a secondary school in Alton, as part of an initiative to allow children to experience different sports. I am a member of the GB Disabilities Trampoline Squad, a former three times British disabilities cat 1 champion, as well as a volunteer trampoline coach for Alton Trampoline Club.
As I am currently furloughed from Bottega dei Sapori (Maggie and Tizzy's), I thought I would use my time to raise funds for local nursery and primary schools to purchase some much needed hand sanitiser.
Following initial discussions, local distilleries have agreed to produce the much needed hand sanitiser. Now, I need help to raise the funds to pay for it. Hand sanitiser is essential to protect teachers/key workers in schools in order that they can care for the children.
The target set should allow the purchase a good quantity of two different sizes, 250ml and 30ml for use in the schools. All donations will go towards the purchase of hand sanitiser.

4 years agoWith the school holidays approaching, it is time to bring this initiative to a close. I have spent the last of the donated money on the last lot of sanitiser to go out to schools on Monday. A HUGE thank you to everyone who donated, I am massively appreciative of it. With £1,578 donated through the Just Giving Page and £760 given through cash and cheques (a total of £2,338), I was able to pay for and deliver 350 30ml Silent Pool units as well as 324 250ml Gorilla Spirits sprays, to 16 different schools. Let's hope this isn't necessary again.

4 years agoMore success to share! I have managed to place and receive a second order of sanitiser from Gorilla Spirits and am on my way to delivering some of these supplies to more schools. It has come to my attention that schools with students with additional needs seem to be struggling in securing and affording hand sanitiser so I have expanded to include these schools. I am hoping this will give staff, pupils and parents at least a little piece of mind. Please keep sharing this and helping to raise funds to provide needed supplies to schools.

4 years agoFirst batch of sanitiser all delivered! A lot of appreciative schools happy to see the supplies and very grateful for everyone's contributions. Other schools may need supplies as they get back towards full swing and there is no way to know how long the stocks being given out will last. Please keep sharing as much as possible and we can continue to get these essential supplies to those who will need them.
