China 🇨🇳 September 2020

January 2020 is going to see the start of my 9 month’s challenge to raise minimum of £3.5k for Prostrate Cancer. Now charity by organising and participating in several fundraising events and finalising the challenge by walking a session the Great Wall of China in September 2020 .

Our Prostrate Cancer fight and the Support for Research and care.

So hello everyone and if you don’t know me my name is Stuart collard - I am a 39 father😉of one ( James collard) . I have several small businesses based in Sheffield & the midlands

The Bigdog limited......

Bds property maintenance & contractors

Plus Pizza A Mano a street food business who make delicious Pizza 🍕

So life can be and is a little busy / crazy at times however this challenge and especially this charity is something very deal to my heart and my family’s, as in 2019 we faced the some unwanted news

My dad discovered that he had prostrate Cancer, we had visited Norfolk for a family wedding and in conversation my uncle disclosed he was going for a psa test later in the week(he is ok) my mom decided that dad should have this test.

This is a simple blood test that males of a certain age choose to simple ignore. Dads came back with an elevated measure not very high(6.3) but enough to give his doctor reason to push for further test at the hospital. These were carried out over a period of a few months (all unknown to me)

I will never forget the day ever, seeing my mother with tears in here eyes and telling me Dad had prostate cancer and was to under go treatment as soon as could be arranged. every emotion you could possibly think off just runs though your head...

Thankfully dad was in bupa ,they were great and treatment was carried out locally which meant a lot of travel was avoided

This treatment was started in June 2019 dad had jell injection placed between this prostrate and bowel to minimise the effects of the radiology on surrounding organs whilst the radiology to attack the cancer..

After a period he went back for a further psa test which revelled the level been reduced greatly (that much that If we say a normal male would have 0.4 % in there prostrate that my dad’s had been reduced to 0.3) result!! Dad is now going through a period of hormone treatment to reduce the size of the prostrate (he says jokingly that it is better that he wears a skirt than me having to wear a black tie.

After this horrible time we feel we are lucky ones, I am hoping for your help in raising money for this good cause and to raise awareness for prostrate cancer. If you are a man

This could be you!, your brother, your son, your father.... so don’t be shy, go and get yourselves checked out today..

Men, we are with you....

I will be supporting Prostrate Cancer Now .
