I work in horse welfare and this year rehomed two Romanian dogs destined for the kill shelter. Lola is nearly two and Ted is just one year old. The lady and her team who work tirelessly to help the many dogs and cats who have found themselves on the streets through no fault of their own. Roxana Tudose and her team are a true inspiration, so much so that I want to help them raise some funds for their cause. Please help where you can.

Roxana's Story:

So, every day, and I really mean every day, I take care of about 60 dogs and 20 cats of my own. Cleaning, feeding, going to the vets, all the stuff.

But is very hard; we struggle with the everyday expenses, cleaning products, food, vet expenses. At times people people judge me about the many dogs I care for, but how can I say no when people call me all the time with bad cases like dogs or cats hit by cars, abandoned in woods, new born pups, etc. If I don't take them they will be left there to suffer and die. Many people say to me "Well, I tried, I called you but if you can't help I don't know what to do."

We were forced to move from the previous place. Where we are now is so much better and we can do a lot here, but the rent is huge; we are really struggling Also, everyday we feed dogs on the street, we spay dogs and cats from the streets or from poor people that ask our help. There are so many expenses involved. Trust me, I find it is so hard when I have to ask for help, for money, really I feel so ashamed, but I cannot do it on my own, it is either asking for help or stop helping the poor souls who have no hope otherwise. The dogs and cats I help go through so much. I really can't see them in pain and just walk by.

I am so grateful for every bit of help, every pound, every bowl or toy or blanket or food received. I am happier than when I get something for myself.
