Story
In a recent tragic event in another area, the defibrillator at a Tesco store was not allowed to be used for a patient in the car park and the man tragically died waiting for help. In Market Deeping there are very few defibrillators and one is situated in Tesco store, (there are no comparisons being drawn between the 2 stores). There is no other one near enough for residents of some of the busier housing areas, or the primary schools.
Some defibrillators only contain pads for adult use, there are specific ones which need to be purchased to be used for children.
We would like to raise enough money for 2 defibrillators which are suitable for both adults and children, one to be kept in Madcaps at Market Deeping CP School, which is open 7.30 - 6 weekdays, and another to be situated nearby, within the recommended distance from the local estates.
If we were lucky enough to raise anything above the required amount we would donate the extra to the local air ambulance fund.
