Story
Sunday 20th March volunteers arrived at Southam United Football Club to find gates to our junior pitches broken and all of our nets cut, beyond repair.; the centre of each one having been cut out and thrown in a nearby hedge. None were salvageable and all will need replacing at considerable cost. Unfortunately, this is not the first instance of this kind at the club, vandalism at the end of last year, also caused hundreds of pounds worth of damage. All instances have been reported to the police.
We are a community football club, with 23 junior teams (and a senior men's team), ranging from mini-soccer up to U16s. We support the development of nearly 300 young players in a safe and supportive environment and this directly effects the ability of our volunteers to offer activities and these players to enjoy their football and training. As a grassroots club that has been impacted by the global pandemic - like many others over the last 2 years - we cannot afford to keep replacing items that are vandalised.

We're asking for support to help to purchase the following items:
1) Replacement nets - We need to replace 12x nets in total - that were destroyed through the recent vandalism - to allow the club to continue to support our 300 youth members; boys and girls aged from 5-17 years old.
2) CCTV / additional security - we are in talks with a local business who has kindly offered to contribute to the cost of installing CCTV at the club as a deterrent to this type of activity. We are looking to fundraise for the remainder, including equipment and installation.
3) Additional secure storage at the club.
Any help, donations - small or large - that you can offer would be very much appreciated by the entire club, it's hardworking volunteers and most importantly the players, who all give up hours of time to the club.
