I'm Sujata Barot, an Independent candidate standing in the Leicester East constituency for GE2017

I've lived in Leicester for over 40 years.
As an effective community activist, members of the diverse communities have urged me to challenge the current MP Keith Vaz. As an Independent, political parties can not force me to follow their policies nor muzzle our protest!

WE'VE HAD ENOUGH.
ITS TIME FOR CHANGE.

I am an approachable, determined and capable local resident who is very familiar with the problems that affect our lives in Leicester East.

I LISTEN, UNDERSTAND AND SHARE CONCERNS AND ORGANISE CAMPAIGNS, TOGETHER WITH COMMUNITIES, TO FIGHT AGAINST CUTS TO LOCAL SERVICES, SCHOOLS, HOSPITALS, SOCIAL CARE AND POLICING.

I am ready to make those changes happen for everyone starting with a fresh new politics based on honesty & integrity.

I know how important immigration is to all sections of our communities and will work hard to make sure that the Brexit negotiations impact positively on our local economy, businesses, urban regeneration, arts and culture and afforable housing and transport links for all.

Please support me so that I can challenge the local authority and Parliamentary authorities that have let us down. We owe it to the younger generation to change the shameful state of our political landscape.
