**Subject: Urgent Appeal for Emergency Relief and Recovery Support for Communities Affected by the Bhote Koshi Flood**

We are writing to urgently request emergency relief funding for families and communities severely affected by the catastrophic flash flood that struck the Bhote Koshi River corridor in Rasuwa, Nepal, on **26 August 2026**.

The sudden flood caused widespread destruction across areas including **Timure and Syabrubesi**, with impacts extending downstream through the Trishuli River system. Homes, roads, bridges, businesses, public facilities, and critical infrastructure have been damaged or swept away, while many families have been displaced and remain in urgent need of assistance. Search-and-rescue and humanitarian operations are continuing.

# Immediate Needs

We are seeking emergency financial assistance to provide:

* Temporary shelter, blankets, clothing, and essential household supplies

* Emergency medical care and medicines

* Hygiene and sanitation supplies

* Support for children, elderly people, and other vulnerable families

* Psychosocial and community support

* Support for urgent debris clearance and community recovery

The scale and suddenness of this disaster have left affected families without basic necessities and with limited means to recover on their own. Emergency assistance is therefore urgently required to protect lives, prevent further hardship, and help communities begin rebuilding.
