Story

Asalaamu'alaikum,

I pray you are all in the best of health and imaan, ameen.

This Ramadan, my family and I have set up this page as Sadaqah Jariyah for our beloved mother, who passed away unexpectedly in August 2024. Our mum always made it a priority to give to charity, especially to the less fortunate communities in Bangladesh. Following in her footsteps, this year, my family would like to do the same—by building a well in our local villages, helping to repair homes, and distributing essential necessities to the poor.

The Prophet ﷺ said:

"The best charity is giving water to drink." (Ahmad)

Ramadan is a month of mercy, forgiveness, and immense reward. The Prophet ﷺ also reminded us:

"Charity does not decrease wealth." (Muslim)

And Allah says in the Qur'an:

"The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed of grain that sprouts seven ears; in every ear, there are a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies (the reward) for whom He wills. And Allah is All-Encompassing, All-Knowing." (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:261)

I am raising £5,000 for this community project, and every donation—big or small—will be a source of Sadaqah Jariyah for my mother, benefitting her in the Hereafter, In Sha Allah.

May Allah accept it from us all and grant my mother, and all our loved ones, the highest ranks in Jannah, ameen.
