Story
For what seems like a lifetime i have been in and out of hospitals and doctors seeing DR after DR. What started with a number of headaches has become a life changing event for me.
Over the course of a number of years i have been diagnosed with autism, hearing loss, eyesight loss, many more, now a pineal cyst which is a diameter of a 2.4cm (May not seem big in normal things but for a cyst it huge)
over the last few months it has been hard for me to get the information, help and support that i have needed to be able to live as much of a normal lifestyle as i can, to be able to do the most simplest things like learning to get myself dressed again, put my shoes on, to be able to make a drink and even be able to walk independently.
if it wasn't for a number of charities and none registered organisations i would not be able to do the things that i am currently able to do.
I have managed to continue college and I'm now on my final year of animal care, passing with high qualifications.
With the support of my mum, little brother and a small handful of friends, I feel like I can do anything may just have to find another way.
I want to help the people that have helped me adjust to the difficulties that now are apart of my daily life.
I am raising money for 2 of the organisations/ charities that have helped by shaving off all my hair at the end of june 2023 before i go in for brain surgery, All funds raised will be equally divided between 2 charities/ organisations.
I have chosen sense which is a deaf blind charity which supports deaf, blind and those with additional needs, sense has support my brother through the young carers and buddies system.
My second is dogs squad is a community interest company that supports vulnerable people to care for dogs.i have gained confidence and independence to look after the dogs, paint and do gardening with support.
If you could help in anyway I would be very grateful, and please share far and wide.
