About Beormund Primary School

Beormund is a special needs primary school that sits in the shadow of the Shard, not far from the offices of Duff & Phelps. They cater for children aged 6 to 11 years old who have diagnosed social, emotional and mental health needs. The children arrive with their Education Health Care Plans stating Autism, ADHD, conduct disorders, speech, language and communication needs to name but a few. The complexity to their lives and the societal demands of living in modern Britain further compound these medical needs with many experiencing attachment and trauma, over half being raised in homes of domestic violence and with many witnessing or being a victim of abuse in its many forms.

Beormund is an aspirational, compassionate and therapeutic primary school who strive to significantly improve the life chances of children who have such difficult starts in life. The school is filled with bright, challenging, talented, driven children who are ably supported by a highly committed and compassionate staff team.
