Story
Sun Sports FC, the last of the famous strictly amateur non league football clubs still in existence in Watford, lost their ground of 91 years back in September 2017.
Because of this, the first team had no option but to fold and had to resign from the Spartan South Midlands Premier League, as well as competing in the early stages of the FA Vase and the FA Cup.
All that remains of the football club now are the reserves, who are continuing to play in the Herts County League Division One, by using the pitch of a local school.
To be able to even gain promotion to the Herts County Premier Division, a ground is needed, and to get back to the standard that we would like to be back at, we will need a ground with a clubhouse, dressing rooms, stadium and floodlights.
As we are a non profit making football club, we do not have the money available to be able to just buy land and equipment to build a ground.
As we currently do not own land of our own anymore, we cannot get a grant from the football foundation, so we need the help of our fellow football brothers and sisters to keep this grand old lady of a football club alive.
Anyone who helps us with any donation in this, our time of need will be forever mentioned on our "Wall of Thanks", a section of the ground where your name will be entered onto either a wall or the stand itself where it will remain a part of this new stage of Sun Sports FC history.
