With the North East to be the worst hit by Brexit, North East for Europe are organising a rally/march in Sunderland to protest. Whichever way you voted in the referendum, no-one did so to be worse off and have food and medicine shortages.

I, and others in the group, grew up in Sunderland and are terrified at the way the government is handling the Brexit negotiations. We are particularly worried about the impact on local jobs especially regarding the Nissan situation who have clearly stated they need the UK to stay in the Single Market to operate.

All funds collected here will go directly towards the costs of organising, holding and promoting the 6th October rally/march. This includes getting the word out through advertising, booking entertainment, paying for audio-visual equipment and other infrastructure, insurance, co-ordinating stewards and many other elements. The more we raise, the bigger and better the rally will be and the more impact we can all have.
