Story

One World Welfare Organization (www.oneworldwelfareorganization.com) was borne out of a vision of my mother, Mrs Najma Gill. I am the of CEO of One World Welfare Organization, and the Acting Principle of our relatively new school - One World High School in Manak, near Lahore, Pakistan.

I have given up my law work to focus fully on our work at OWWO. At this time only my British husband and I are fully focussed on the aims of our NGO. My husband gave up his British way of life and all his belongings to come and live here from August 2017. Such is our commitment to raising the standards of those in greatest need through education and female empowerment.

Although small, we have decided to commit to providing a quality of education not offered anywhere else in our area. We are using the Cambridge course study books for all age ranges.

One World Welfare Organization ia a local Pakistani based registered charity; working for and with poor street children education, orphans and women empowerment. OWWO is committed to bringing life, hope & opportunity to children in the neglected rural areas of Punjab, Pakistan who have been orphaned or made vulnerable by poverty. Due to poverty and illiteracy, there is a generation of children growing up in Punjab, Pakistan without parental support and relying on increasingly strained communities. These children are exceptionally vulnerable to neglect and abuse. OWWO is a vehicle for delivering change, helping these children to rebuild their lives.

Taking part by contributing through this fundraising forum will help us to reach out to more children; and put a smile on their face. How often can you say that the equivalent of 20 pounds sterling can radically alter a life? And whose to say what that may lead to. We will sow more seeds and plant more acorns with your help. With your help, the harvest will be rich and plentiful, and the mighty oaks will grow.

This is Ghulam Fareed. Unfortuantely, due to poverty, he had to left the school 6 months before. Then, OWWO took the responsibilty of his education and now he is studying in class 7 here he is now all grown up and happy as never before.

One World Welfare Organization helps those children who are extremely vulnerable to abuse, malnutrition, dropping out of education and turning to crime. OWWO, through local communities, aims to reach the most vulnerable children. All the work of OWWO is focussed on achieving highest impact at the lowest cost. OWWO believes that to make a difference it is essential to help one child at a time, ensuring measures are sustainable and replicable.

Your contribution of :-
£4.50 can feed a child for month.
£6 can buy school shoes for a child.
£20 can buy course books for a child.
£50 can send a child back to school by providing them with a uniform, school shoes, books and stationery. (Remember, the children that we support need to attend school to be given the chance to escape the cycle of vulnerability and poverty.)
£100 can provide educational and esteem building as well as outings for children at school and orphanage.

Thank you for taking time to read this. It is your first step. Making those next steps would be greatly appreciated by far more than maybe even we realise.

"I am only one, but I am one. I cannot do everything, but I can do something, What I can do, I should do, and with the help of God I will do." (Edward Everett Hale, US Senate Chaplain 1903-09)
