I've raised £10000 to donate to The Pink Rose Suite at Grimsby Hospital to purchase equipment and consumables allowing them to continue their great work.

Story
Shell is a superwoman, super mummy, super wife, super sister (in law), daughter (in law), aunty, niece, friend and colleague..
Having recently being diagnosed and having treatment at the Pink Rose Suite in Grimsby we are raising money to be donated directly to the hospital (charity no: 1054935) to purchase equipment and consumables to aid the fantastic service they provide and amazing work they do for their patients.
Cancer is something I personally have always had and always will have a fear of (I'm sure I'm not the only one) but when I heard the words over the phone from my sister in law Shell that I know were so hard to say "I have been diagnosed with Breast Cancer" at a young age of 37, I was not only in shock, heart broken and the panic that went through my mind - "What if's? Why? How? When? but I wanted to be there for her and her family (my wonderful brother, niece and nephew). I wanted to be able to do everything I could to support and help her/them fight this disease.
As she broke the news to me we shared a few tears (me more!) Shell was very matter of fact, strong, determined and calm about the news she had received from her surgeon.
"It will be ok, Don't worry about me, I will be ok, I have had 12 days to get this in my mind, I know what I need to do, I am determined, I will kick it's little ass!" she rattled off to me.
Shell spoke confidently and determined and I knew she was right, I knew she had the right frame of mind to deal with this and it soon became apparent that Super Mummy Shell wasn't going to be messed with.
The first steps of mastectomy have been carried out and soon the Chemo will begin, Shell has took every stage, every appointment and every result in her stride, day by day - tackling what is infront of her next! All with a smile on her face, a joke to lighten the mood and in high spirits for her kids...the journey to recovery is a long road ahead..
She doesn't see it herself but Shell is an absolute true inspiration and a role model to all of those around her and while she fights this disease with the help of family and friends we are going to arrange events to raise as much money as we can to give Shell the motivation to beat it and something to focus on each step of the way.
Shell's experience so far at the Pink Rose Suite has been amazing and she immediately said "I want to give back" so this is where I knew I could help! Please help where you can by supporting our goal to raise £10k and beyond!
