I've raised £2000 to Support Kirsty East and family as they deal with the aftermath of the Manchester Arena bombing

A few weeks ago, Kirsty experienced a huge trauma. She was in the bomb blast of the Manchester Arena, and despite being one of the closest people to the bomber, miraculously survived.
Apart from the physical injuries she sustained (shrapnel wounds, heavy bruising all over her body and ongoing hearing loss), the psychological trauma has been profound, both for her and her family. Her daughter Grace was in the arena when the bomb went off and was thankfully not injured, but both Kirsty and her daughter are dealing with the ongoing fear and terror of what happened to them.
Kirsty is suffering from PTSD, is often unable to leave the house and is struggling to make ends meet. Whilst she is receiving some forms of support, she has a long wait ahead before she receives counselling.
Unfortunately, since she did not stay in the hopsital overnight, she does not meet the criteria to receive any of the victim support fund raised for those who, like Kirsty, survived.
As a result of what happened, she has been signed off work indefinitely and whilst looking after her four kids and dealing everyday with the trauma and horror of what she has experienced, she is unable to earn any money.
She has been referred to the foodbank and relying on help from others however is at a point where she has agreed to let us ask for help from the community around her, who love and cherish her and know what an incredible and giving person she is.
She has done her best to manage on her own but no one should be struggling so much because of such a terrible thing to have happened.
Please help us support Kirsty and her family whilst they deal with what happened to them and whilst they do what they can to recuperate and move on from this ordeal.
