‘Support Nigeria’s Response’ is an initiative to raise funds towards fighting COVID in Nigeria. Established by Evolve, Nigeria – we have partnered with wellness instructors, motivational speakers and business coaches who are devoting their time and wisdom to inspire individuals in these unique circumstances. All our live virtual talks and classes are provided at no cost, by our humble speakers as their contribution towards this worthy cause. We have partnered with organisations that are aiding the frontline and vulnerable during these challenging times.

Why it matters

Nigeria’s COVID cases are rising and cities are already struggling to cope. The Economist in 2019 has ranked Lagos, the commercial capital of Nigeria at the bottom of the table when it comes to healthcare, infrastructure and stability. Besides the impact on the frontline, social distancing measures have put Lagos on lockdown since March 31st. As more than half of Nigeria’s population are living on less than a dollar a day, this has resulted in a substantial amount of people suffering from hunger and starvation.

‘Support Nigeria’s Response’ will be providing funds for multiple charities over the next few weeks. We will be starting with the Sai Rosa Foundation to supply food packages for the needy and low income Nigerians in the Lagos suburbs on a weekly basis. One food package would last a family of four for one week and costs approximately $5.

‘Support Nigeria’s Response’ is an initiative created by Ravina, Yezmina and Maheer Kirpalani in order to support organisations fighting COVID in Nigeria - whether it be food or medical supplies. Evolve’s team including Kiran Sadaragani and Pia Amarnani and all our speakers are contributing their time towards this worthy cause.
