Story
Our group of volunteers formed to represent the interests of local residents and to campaign to minimise the impact of HS2 on our communities and safeguard a patch of beautiful countryside with its ancient woodland and diverse wildlife.
The Whitmore2Madeley HS2 Action Group is campaigning for a change to the current HS2 proposal. It's envisaged that under the current plans, the 7km section of the route between Whitmore Heath to Madeley will have more infrastructure projects inflicted on it than any other section of the line.
Much of the devastation could be avoided if the railway between Whitmore Heath and Madeley was constructed in a tunnel.
You can make a difference to prevent our villages and countryside being destroyed. With your help we hope to raise funds to finance the cost of a barrister to help us to get our petition heard by the Parliamentary Select Committee and persuade them to build the Whitmore to Madeley Tunnel.

Great work by a dedicated team of volunteers working on our behalf that need the support of everybody in the community to minimise the effects of this project in our area.
