    Story

The pandemic has been a real struggle for those living with dementia and their carers.

The Major Oak Pop Choir have joined forces with 'Our Dementia Choir', Vicky McClure, Mark De Lisser and Dementia Friendly Mid Notts to help make a difference to the lives of people within our communities, by raising funds to support much needed activities and therapy for people living with dementia and their carers.

Bafta-winning actor Vicky McClure helped to set up 'Our Dementia Choir through the BBC series that recorded a deeply personal journey to discover the true extent of music's power in the fight against dementia.

Funds raised through our video collaboration and your kind donations are so much appreciated and will be divided 50:50 between Dementia Friendly Mid Notts (Covering Ashfield, Mansfield , Newark & Sherwood) and 'Our Dementia Choir'. Dementia Action Week Concert 2021

I massively appreciate everything you all do, you are just amazing. Both my grandparents have dementia and it really is awful, but you have been such a light for so many people🤍
