Education in Peru is a privilege. In second grade of primary: 3 out of 10 children in Peru haven't got the level they suppose to have within their classrooms, this is in urban areas, this indicator, sadly, gets worst in rural areas.
We are a group of passionate people who work towards empowering children at the very beggining of their relationship with the peruvian educational system, a 1rst and 2nd grade of primary school. Our name is "Aprendamos Juntos" and we believe school should be a place to encourage them rather than minimize them and make them feel less as some of them don't have the tools for a proper learning process. Thus, we provide each children with the tools TO LEARN.
Our work is performed by several psychologists who work with our children in customized workshops. Our results are impressive: our children raise their abilities in problem resolution situations in around 60% compared to the level they got when they started the program, 2 years before.
We are still a small project and every cent will help. At the moment we are fundraising to have the tools to provide all the learning material to our children, such as the program guides and workshop exercises. Some of our computers are over 18 years old, they are really slow and delay our capacity to provide proper tools. Sometimes we need to pay to some internet places to use their printers as ours can get broken easily.
If you donate us, we'll use your money to buy new computers, printers to provide our children with the program guides and we will have the posibility to optimize our resources and be more effective :)
