As you may or may not know, my 2 children and i were in St maarten last week when the hurricane Irma hit. Since then, we have been evacuated to Curaçao. Leaving behind my partner, who has lost his: house, car and most of our belongings.

I had the opportunity to leave St maarten with our 2 children, these families can't and need our help.

My aim is to help the families rebuild their lives, by raising funds for the families who supported us through hurricane Irma. Despite not having much to offer.
These families have nothing and were still willing to offer all they could, with the little resources they had left. 

 When the hurricane hit, we were staying with a friend as their apartment building was a lot stronger then ours; along with several other families and their close friends. After Irma hit and we all went to assess the damage, In total there was 13 of us staying in 1 apartment, out of that 11/13 are now homeless including my partner.
Another family who took us in, lost part of their roof and there was substantial damage to the structure of the building. Nevertheless, they still managed to feed us, themselves and their neighbours; on the little food they did have, knowing we had nothing.

During the time I was in st Maarten after the hurricane hit, my family and I were literally without a roof over our head, with all the belongings we could save, in a few bags. The main priority was being safe.

The money raised will aid these families to buy material to rebuild and secure their homes (some from the ground up). Businesses that were destroyed and basic suppliants such as: food, water, clothing and other essential amenities. This can begin to support the families until they get can back on their feet.

One good thing i can say about Irma is, she has united a lot of people together.
