Story

Steven was born 06-10-2016.

Steven has :

•DORV (double outlet right ventricle which the aorta connects to the RV the chamber of the heart that pumps oxygen-poor blood to the lungs instead of the to the LV the chamber that pumps oxygen-rich blood to the body)

•TOF (Tetralogy of fallot)

•Significant Pulmonary Stenosis (narrowing at or below the pulmonary valve which blood has difficulty getting from the RV into the pulmonary artery)

•Stevens first surgery was when he was 14DAYS old - he had an emergency double bypass BT shunt surgery. His chest was left open after surgery, his heart stopped and he went into cardiac arrest so he was given CPR for 45mins to bring him back.

•Stevens SECOND surgery was at 3WEEK OLD. He was taken to surgery with a suspected hole in his bowel which they found his appendix had burst internally so he had his appendix removed & remained on LIFE SUPPORT.

•The day after his second surgery Stevens HB count dropped so he was rushed to theatre where Drs corrected a PRO-LONGED INTERNAL BLEED.

•September 2017 Steven went under General Anaesthetic for a CT scan to get a better image of his pulmonary arteries.

Stevens next surgery he will be having a HEART-LUNG BYPASS MACHINE. After the surgery he will be placed on VENTILATOR / ECMO. If his heart isn't beating properly after he comes off bypass he may need PACING WIRES/PACEMAKER etc.

Stevens Mum (Jade) Dad (Steven) are now waiting for Steven to get his surgery date where he will be in theatre for 10hours & will have his heart stopped and bypassed.

He is a LIFE SUPPORT SURVIVOR ⭐️
