In 2019, I visited Guyana on behalf of The Pavilion Sports and Cafe to support the Guyanese Lawn Tennis Association (GLTA) with their Tennis development at all levels.

The GLTA is a small team of passionate coaches who strive for a greater engagement and participation of the sport of Tennis in Guyana. They work with little resources and funding to engage both children and adults in the sport of Tennis.

The team work in schools and with local community groups to use tennis as a tool of engaginf youth and improve peoples well-being. The GLTA coach the majority of their sessions at the National Racket Centre and at the National Park. Where they have to share the courts with other organisations, set up the nets themselves, and deal with the fracturing surfaces.

At the Pavilion Sports and Cafe we aim to support tennis development through different fundraising initiatives over the next few years and build a lasting relationship between North London and sport in Guyana.

£5 donation will help provide a child with a tube of new tennis balls.

£10 donation will help provide a child with their first mini tennis racket.

£100 donation will provide the GLTA with a brand new mini tennis net.
