Malawi has a high rate of disability, with a prevalence of over 10% among people aged 5 and above.(NSO, 2019) Many children with disability are not enrolled in school, and those who are lack basic support to help them excel. AOMU‘s initiatives are aimed at bridging some of these gaps. Funds raised from this appeal will help to :

1. Complete a classroom building for 26 children

2. Continue to pay for extra tuition to help up 50 children catch up in class

3. Train more teachers in how to identify and support children with SEND

4. Provide learning aids to promote learning

5. Start building the capacity of parents of the children we are supporting
