Firstly thank you so much for visiting our page and showing your support, we are all incredibly grateful, written below are our plans & what your contribution will help us to achieve;

A number of us are going to run a half marathon and also complete a number of other fund raising events to raise money for our incredibly brave and beautiful Lucy.

Lucy is 26 and has been looking forward to starting a family with her wonderful boyfriend Jake, however she was unfortunately diagnosed with Acute Promyelocyt Leukaemia (APL) on Tuesday 18th July 2017. The diagnosis came as a huge shock. If you are diagnosed with APL you can have zero symptoms, which was the case with Lucy, however the positive we can take from this is that it was caught at an early stage and treatment can begin immediately.

Today–Wednesday 19th July 2017, Lucy starts her first stage of Chemotherapy, this will continue for the next 3 weeks. Some of you may know people who have gone through Chemotherapy or have gone through this yourself and will understand how much of a tough time this can be. The side effects of Chemotherapy can be extremely difficult to deal with, her friends, family and boyfriend Jake will support her throughout this, however our aim is to relieve as much additional strain as possible at this time and ensure Lucy, Jake and her family have support they need.

Due to the nature of Lucy’s illness she will be unable to work for quite some time and we want to relieve as much financial stress as possible at an already challenging time. We want to give Lucy the freedom to make herself look and feel great regardless of cost, to be able to use the money for whatever she wishes to use it for, whether that is a wig made from real hair and new eyelashes every other week, towards her mortgage and home expenses, or a holiday to look forward to when she is better.
