Our daughter Ophelia was diagnosed with Rett Syndrome, a rare neurological condition that affects every part of her development. Rett has taken away many of the things most children learn naturally, including speech, mobility and independence.

Ophelia is strong, expressive in her own way, and the absolute heart of our family. Every smile, every small gain, every moment of comfort means everything to us.

Rett Syndrome is complex and lifelong. It brings significant daily challenges, from specialist equipment and therapies to mobility aids, communication support, medical appointments and ongoing care needs. While some support is available, many essential things that improve Ophelia’s comfort, quality of life and development are not fully funded and are ridiculously expensive.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of so many people, we have already reached our initial target to fund a Hypervibe G10 therapy machine for Ophelia in under 24 hours. We are completely overwhelmed and so grateful for the kindness and support shown to our family.

As Ophelia grows, there will continue to be ongoing costs for therapies, specialist equipment and support to help give her the very best quality of life possible. Any further donations will continue to go directly towards supporting her needs and helping her thrive in her own beautiful way.
