We are all shocked by what is happening to people across the world and that is now impacting on our own family. It is beyond belief that Carol and Harvey both went into hospital on Wednesday, were both tested positive for the virus and that Carol passed away on Sunday. Harvey remains stable. It is heartbreaking for us all that we have not been able to be with them, to support them at this terrible time. But what has helped us has been the care and compassion shown by the Doctors and Nurses and supporting them both. We are sustained by the fact that they gave Carol and continue to give Harvey the best of care and they have gone above and beyond in being in touch with us and, for example, the Nurse who stayed after her shift to sit with Harvey when he received the awful news about Carol. We know the teams cannot get food in the hospital. Their Canteens are closed. We would like to send some food and other treats to them to help sustain them as they support all the people in their care. We welcome your support. Thank you.
