Story
WE ARE STARTING A NEW SEASON OF MINISTRY - Helping people to plant surf churches around the world
To launch this new season of ministry we are (mostly Richard, as the kids have school) attempting to walk the Camino. A 500 mile walk from France to the end of northern Spain.
The reason for this is to:
1 pray for the surfers and beach communities of the world
2. Pray for "Christian Surfers" as they share there faith globally
3. Pray for the 20 Surf Churches that have been planted over the last few years
4. Pray that God would raise up new church planters to reach the surf world
The project below is an outline of what we are doing as a family for the next few years. Sent by Elim Missions and working in partnership with Christians Surfers International and the Surf Church Collective we are going to drive forward church planting for the surf and beach communities around the world.
Year 1 is about connect with what is happening around the world, preaching teaching and sharing the story of what God is doing as we travel to the existing surf churches and potential new surf churches
Year 2 is about developing and implementing resources that will empower a new wave of church planters. Setting up training and helping churches launch
Year 3 + is about multiplication!

What has been done!
After 7 years of Church planting in Hossegor, we have planted a successful Surf Church. We have focused on raising, discipling and equipping people to be leaders who are changing the local community. We have seen many local people come to faith and we have used all we have to be a blessing to the town of Hossegor.
We have joined with other church pioneers and helped to birth a worldwide movement of surf church planting. There are currently 39 millions surfers in the world and we must find a way to create faith communities that will engage and reach this group of salty people!
What will they now do?
Richard and Regi will now help the newly formed “Surf Church Collective” (a group of like minded churches with mission to reach the surf world) to plant surf friendly churches across the world by dedicating there passion to seeing this vision fulfilled
“That every surfer might have access to a Surf friendly Church” .
How will they do it?
This new project will involve the Ellerington family sharing their experience in both evangelism and church planting with the surf world as the visit countries and coastlines that are in need of new exciting churches.
The whole family will hit the road to sharing the love of Jesus and help plant churches globally
