I've raised £1000 to rescue 750,000 oak saplings that will be destroyed if not planted soon

The climate and ecological emergency became even more pressing when in April 2020, it was reported that 750,000 Oak saplings were to be burnt.
Why are they going to be destroyed?
Nurseries up and down the country had started growing oaks on the basis of a promise by the UK Government in 2014 to start a huge national planting scheme. However, they have reneged on this vital promise. The UK has the the worst tree cover of all European nations, at just 13%, compared to an average of 30%.
Save The Oaks Campaign was created following unprecedented response from groups and individuals who have pledged to buy and plant these Oaks throughout the UK.
I saw this campaign shortly after last Christmas (2020). As a climate activist, I could not bear to sit by and do nothing. So I have been talking to both Surrey County Council and various borough councils to find sites and funding to plant some of these magnificent trees.
And now I'm reaching out to the people of Surrey (and beyond)!
Help me to help the campaign, raise as much money as possible to buy more saplings. These trees will, in turn, absorb carbon emissions, improve our air quality, improve local bio-diversity and defend against soil erosion and flooding. And not just now but for future generations
