Story
Annie, who many of you will know as Surviving Safeguarding or @survivecourt, received the devastating news yesterday that her eldest son had died suddenly, aged just 20.
Annie recently took the incredibly brave step of coming off benefits and going self-employed, taking her acclaimed training on how to work with parents involved in care proceedings out to social workers and university students across the country.
She will now be unable to work for the forseeable future, so I have set up this fundraising page to help her pay for funeral costs and also with living expenses for her and her children for the next few months.
Because of reporting restrictions, please do not name her son or identify Annie other than as Surviving Safeguarding or @survivecourt in any messages.
Also, please don't share on social media directly from this page! For some reason my editing of the photo (to comply with the court order) does not show if shared straight from JustGiving. If you'd like to share, that's brilliant - but please could you post my Twitlonger (tl.gd/n_1sptid7) which includes a URL to this page which works fine.

7 years agoTo everyone who contributed to this crowdfunder for Annie, the most enormous thank you. There have been some donations offline too, so I think we can safely say that the target has been exceeded, and I am incredibly impressed and touched by your generosity, many of you to someone you didn't know and others who had never even met her.

7 years agoAnnie has written a message overnight that she's asked me to post. It's too long for the space given here so it's available either on my Twitter timeline (@louisetickle) or by clicking this link: http://tl.gd/n_1sptp62

7 years agoJust to let everyone who's contributed know, I've just made a transfer of the first £5K which will be with Annie by end of play tomorrow. It will make a huge difference in practical terms over the coming days and weeks. Thank you all.
