I'm taking on a 25km (16 miles) sponsored walk along the River Thames on January 17th 2026 to raise £750 to support Survivor Sanctuary in Coventry.

Survivor Sanctuary is a grassroots organisation, led by survivors, for survivors. They provide peer to peer support for victim-survivors who have experienced sexual violence. At its core they cultivate a safe space which provides connection, belonging and friendship through shared lived experiences, no matter where survivors are on their journey.

Sadly, sexual violence is rinsing in the UK, with 1 in 4 women experiencing sexual violence some time in their life (overall its 16% if we consider women, men and children), with nearly 90% of sexual violence never reported to police. The scars from this violence run far deeper than the physical scars - the trauma lasts a lifetime with memories that cannot be erased.
