"If l can't take the strain despite family, friends and Momentum's support, l suspect others may be in a very dark place." THis year saw over 1,000 labour members suspended by their own party executive, apparently for exercising their right to free speech on social media. Unsubstantiated allegations of abuse were made against long standing members who lost their right to vote in the leadership election, with many also losing representative roles in their CLPs as a result of being "purged". This unjust, unprecendent, gerrymandering has caused extensive damage to peoples lives and trust in the party. Campaign 4 Natural Justice is taking action to redress some of that damage by hosting 2 free away days for victims of the Compliance Unit's outrageous behaviour, one in Exeter and one in Nottingham. The programme includes workshops on How the Labour Party works, Strategies for Wellbeing, Justice Campaigns action plan and Creativity for Direct Action, all facilitated by volunteer experts. The day aims to demonstrate that membership cares for and values those who were unjustly suspended, and to come together to produce plans for joint action.
