Story
Becky and James are getting married on Saturday 6th October. One of their dogs, Rebel is seriously ill with a lesion on one of his lungs and is being operated on today 5/10/18.
Despite being heavily insured this is going to go over the insurance allowance by a very long way.
Becky and James are going to use all the money given to them as wedding presents for their honeymoon to make sure Rebel gets the treatment he needs.
This has taken all the joy and excitement away from the wedding as anybody who knows Becky, knows her dogs are her LIFE!
Please give anything you can and maybe they will be able to have some money over from the wedding to go for a short break somewhere and be able to come home to ALL their dogs.
Rebel came over from Ireland as a rescue and Becky was his foster mum, she was really rubbish at being a fosterer as she kept him!

6 years agoWe are renewing our vows in March and I have requested that we receive no gifts, just donations towards Rebel's bill. He is continuing to thrive which is fabulous news. Becky and James are now realising the enormity of this bill. They cannot save for a deposit on a house or even think about having a baby while they are renting. I want to do everything I can to help this amazing young couple. Rebel is a very lucky boy. Thank you to everybody visiting this page and making a donation, it all helps. Suzy x

6 years agoRebel had eight weeks total cage rest over Christmas but now he is FREE!!! The fur is growing back over his old scar and if you didn't know how poorly he'd been, you would never know how poorly he'd been! It was absolutely the right thing to do to keep going with his treatment. At six years old he has only had half his life. This sweet natured loving ex-rescue deserved to be saved. All credit to Becky and James, this lovely young couple who are working all the overtime they can get to repay the shortfall of £9,000 (out of an £18,000 bill).

6 years agoRebel had to go back to the vet yesterday as he managed to lick his scar and open it up slightly. Honestly, DOGS! He is still confined to his cage but he is taking it really well thanks to his Thundershirt which is keeping him calm and will hopefully stop him licking! He will be out at Christmas, YAY! The good news is his lungs appear to be ok, keeping everything crossed. We don't know why it happened, it is conceivable that it could happen again. That would be the worst and most tragic scenario after everything this poor dog has been through.
