Alex is 5 year old sweet little boy who is so bright and comical, loves playing outdoors with his friends also trains with his local football club, love arts and crafts and really enjoys school.

Alex was diagnosed with a brain tumour called Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma also known as DIPGs on the 06/09/2017

As you can imagine this is devastating news for any family

Alex's family would like this fund to be called Action for Alex, so that any other treatment that comes available can be used for Alex or any other child that develops DIPGs can also use this fund.

The standard of treatment for DIPGs is radiotherapy for 6 weeks this will sadly only buy Alex some time, there is no cure for this type of brain tumour which mainly affect young children between the ages of 5-9, Alex will take part in a pioneering new trial available only recently in the U.K. Alex will be the first child in Scotland to participate.

Hopefully this will have a good outcome for Alex we can only hope and pray.

We are looking to raise some funds to help Alex and his family through the difficult times a head and to raise awareness of DIPG.

Alex sister Eva who is only 9 doesn't no the extent of Alex's condition neither does any of his friends, so could we ask you to just tell your children that Alex is unwell and the doctors are looking after him.

Hopefully we can raise some funds to allow Alex to do all the things any 5 year old boy would want to do, and as you could imagine this is a big list, it would also allow his family to make some amazing memories with this amazing wee boy.
