I am a single disabled and recently divorced mum of 6 children with 2 chiauhahs living in Kent. My landlord has decided to sell his house and evict us. The local Council in Swale refuse to help us. He's applying on 14th May at the local court for a possession order. All the private landlords and agents I have approached want either a guarantor or 6 Months rent in advance. I cannot do either. I am looking for a 4/5 bed house but really need 5/6 due to family size. Or could you rent me a home. I will be eternally grateful if anyone out there can help us. Need either 6 months rent in advance or a homeowner guarantor. My landlord and the agent he uses are so unhelpful and won't give me any reference. The house we currently rent has plumbing issues, electric problems and although a garden here. We are not allowed to use it. He has junk cars on it. Very unhappy here and have been told that he does this to all his Tenant's. Not in a position to borrow money or have anywhere to stay. We are getting desperate. Most landlords do not accept HB. I claim full PIP and ESA due to medical conditions of Sciatica and Osteoarthritis. Receive full HB and will have no problems topping up the rent as needed after HB paid. I understand landlords may have had problems before but no need to tar us all with the same brush !. We are responsible and respectful. I need a large family home for us. Please help us. I really don't know what else to do.within a few weeks my children and I will be homeless if I can't sort anything out.
