As many of you know Sue is in St Helena's Hospice and now nearing the end of her life & battle with cancer, in just 10 short months since diagnosis. She is not alone as Mikaela & Jade have been by her bedside for nearly a fortnight & she has had regular visitors too.

M+J have been looking into funeral costs and Sues financial situation. As it stands there is not currently enough of a budget to cover the basic funeral costs let alone Sue's final wishes.

We would like to ask if any of Sues friends & family could kindly donate to the fund to help cover the basic funeral costs and if possible we would love to fulfill her last wishes to the letter. Of course any donation Big or Small will all go towards helping us achieve this and will be greatly appreciated by the whole family.

Sues Final Wishes

It is my understanding (after chatting with Jade & Mikaela) that Sue would like her service and cremation performed at Peterborough Crem. She would then like the wake to be held at the British Legion in Melton Mowbray and, in her words, would like it to be - "A good spread where no one goes hungry". She would then like jewellery made out of her ashes for all of her children & the remaining ashes to be placed on her brother Nigel's grave in Melton .

How the donations will be used

Donations will go towards the basic costs of the funeral including transporting Sue's body from Colchester to Peterborough, service transport, flowers etc

Over budget donations

Any funds left over after Sues wishes have been taken care of will be donated to St Helena Hospice in Colchester. The hospice have been amazing looking after Sue (Mikaela & Jade too), it is a great place, Nurses, Volunteers and food included, that has definitely helped take a lot of stress away for the family.

Sue had been saving for her funeral & also had a end of life policy in place which would have been payable after 3 years. Unfortunately, due to the short time the cancer has taken to wreak havoc on her body, Sue has less than half the funds available for a basic funeral.
