I've raised £125 to help Makants Greyhound Rescue North West to rescue and re-home Greyhounds

This is Jess, our gorgeous greyhound.
Jess came to us from Makants Greyhound Rescue Centre North West. Jess was one of the luckier rescue dogs in that she went straight from the trainers kennels to Makants . Other greyhounds are not so lucky and can have a far more traumatic journey before they reach the Centre.
Most greyhounds, once they do arrive, require a lot of dedicated hard work and love from the volunteers. They have only ever experienced life in the kennels and on the track. Most do not know their name and haven't encountered the normal day to day things you would expect a dog to know. Often they are nervous and need time to gain confidence in people and the new world they find themselves in.
Some of the greyhounds spend long periods of time at the Rescue Centre before they find a "Forever Home". I am running the Manchester Marathon on Sunday 8th April to raise money to help make their stay as happy and comfortable as possible.
This is also my way of thanking the wonderful team of volunteers for Jess, who has brought so much love and happiness into my own family.
Thank you so much for donating.
