After much deliberation and lots of encouragement from friends i have finally agreed to start a page. I understand not everyone agrees with these but as I was told if they don't like it they don't have to donate and I do really appreciate all you ladies who encouraged me to do this.
2+ years ago after receiving the news I cant naturally conceive, I explored many avenues down the IVF route and started the process with the NHS.
A few months into my journey, pretty much after diagnosis, i was advised i had to act on it now otherwise i might not have the chance. My then partner and I decided we wanted different things and parted ways.This drew an end to any NHS help I was entitled to. I had no option but to go private, and this was the start of a very long and expensive road.
I then decided that I was going to be an egg donor for other women who's only wish was like me, to be a mother, to have their own special little one to love and cherish. This is when I received the devastating news that not only were my eggs not good enough to share but that the were unusable even for myself. Having received fertility advise from all over the globe, I found that my only option was to use an egg donor myself.Anyway without going into every detail about 2 years ago I started the process over again with IVF Alicante. Following months of medication and scans etc i flew out there end of September and had twin embryos implanted at 5 day blastocyst stage. 2 weeks later I received the gut wrenching confirmation that I had lost them both. Up to this date I have spent just short of 20K which i raised by working any extra shift doing anything i needed to as well as my every day job in the Royal Navy. now moving forward I have exhausted every possible source of cash i had and have been told i also need an operation costing an additional 4k on top to have my tube removed before moving on and trying again with my last embryo.
i understand not everyone will support this and I respect that.
