We may have hung up our hockey sticks a few years ago, but keeping active and making sure our team spirit never dies has always kept Morgarows St Ives Hockey Team together, doing fun challenges and embarking on new adventures.

During lockdown, we have decided to come together as a virtual team, keeping up our daily exercise while also helping others.

We all love our 🚲 bikes, some more than others, and although we can’t cycle together at the moment, we wondered how far we could reach - virtually, of course - if we added each of the distances we cycled every day for a month.

Could we reach the North Pole?

A whopping 2750 miles!

So, the challenge was set! On May the 4th the team of 12 started clocking the miles, tracking the distance reached on a virtual map.

With everyone at completely different riding levels, it’s really going to take a complete team effort if we’re going to get to our (virtual) destination!

We’ve chosen two local charities to help & support- Growing Links & St Ives Community Fund.

COVID – 19 has affected many, but these charities are still doing amazing things in these difficult times.
