    What is crowdfunding?

    Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.

    The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.


    Sussex Syrian Community Group ( and friends are holding a fundraising night of terrific bands, awesome DJs, and delicious food on the first Friday of 2017 at Latest Music Bar, Brighton.

    We will be raising money to support Syrian refugees, and bringing our communities together to welcome new Syrian refugees to Sussex.

    Event information:

    If you can't come to the event, but would like to contribute to our fundraising effort for Syrian refugees then please donate via this Just Giving link.

    Money raised via this fundraising effort will go towards supporting Syrian refugees in Sussex, and supporting people living in Syria.
    - 50% of funds raised will go to the Sussex Syrian Community Group Hardship Fund to support recently arrived and arriving refugees in Sussex.
    - 50% of funds will go to The David Nott Foundation (a health charity working to save lives in Syria - and Mosaic Initiatives (an education charity working in Syria -
