Story
The Sustainable Development Society at the University of St Andrews is teaming up with sustainable development and geography staff and students to take on the BRIT challenge!
Between the 1st of March and the 1st of July 2021 we are running, cycling, and walking to raise awareness and funds for charities supporting the mental health of young people in the UK.
We have decided to be even more ambitious than the initial 2,021 miles challenge, and we are aiming to go halfway across the planet together! We are challenging ourselves to collectively cover 12,430 miles by the 1st of July, which is the distance from the North Pole to the South Pole - all by walking, running, and cycling!
All the funds raised will be given to charities working to support the mental health of young people in the UK. The four charities selected are Papyrus, Student Minds, Nightline, and Charlie Waller. The funds raised will be shared equally between the 4 charities.
Thank you for your support, all donations are truly appreciated.
