I've raised £2000 to Raise funds for S.E.W - Sustainably Empowering Women

Sustainably Empowering Women (SEW) is an organisation in Lira, Northern Uganda supporting vulnerable single mothers to financial independence through, business management training, skills training and business capital. They relieve the woman of their children’s school fees and school starter packages short term to give the ladies the opportunity to build their business and save. The SEW ladies become part of an amazing support network of empowered women and are also provided with bra fittings, sustainably sanitary, self-defence and workout classes, English and Langi literacy, computer skills training and lots more.
We are currently fundraising to buy a community centre plot in the centre of Lira, having the security of a permanent location to run the SEW programme is vital, in not only being able to continue the work we do supporting single mothers but also enables us to provide needed services to the wider community of Lira, such as providing free Wi-Fi, computer access, a library and various skills trainings, careers and business support and recreational activities.
This is the definition of empowered women empowering women, give the ladies lots of support as they brave this challenge and know that there’s an army of Ugandan women you’re supporting behind them!
