Thank you to everyone who donated to SustFest20! You were one of many local people whose generous support help us to have a real impact on environmental sustainability in our district.

You may have heard - with the uncertainty around Covid-19 that Sustainable St Albans and Friends of the Earth St.Albans have made the difficult decision to postpone the festival until next year.

This has been very sad as we had over 200 events registered – the biggest festival yet! We had just finished the first draft of the festival programme when it became obvious we had to consult our organisers over whether or not we should cancel SustFest this year. The programme was looking great, and we are so sorry we cannot share the enthusiasm, local support and ingenious ideas that were developed for #Sustfest20

As you can appreciate, up until now we have already spent funds on co-ordination, publicity and design of the flyers that went to each household, banners, posters and the programme. Luckily we hadn’t printed the programme. We have now cancelled contracts and are working to wind things done to ensure we are ready for next year.

2020 will see the fifth award-winning Sustainability Festival - across St Albans, Harpenden and surrounding villages. We love our district and we want to make it sustainable for generations to come!

The Festival raises awareness and inspires practical actions to build environmental sustainability across our district. Last year thousands of people like you went to over 160 events and made decisions that will reduce their carbon footprints.

To run the Festival, the volunteer organisers' group hires two part-time coordinators to ensure that we reach as many people as possible and that each event runs smoothly. We are grateful for the grants and business sponsorship that part-funds this, but we also need your help to ensure the Festival is a success. Please support this crowdfunder today.
