Dear brothers and sisters, the Sutton Islamic Centre would greatly appreciate your support in raising money for a new premises for our Mosque.

For over three decades, it has been our goal to extend the Mosque, however this has not been possible due to planning problems.

We now have an amazing opportunity to purchase the Christian Science Church in Sutton. With 0.32 acres of land, two large conference rooms on the first floor the Church can accomodate up to 500 worshippers, and even boasts a sizeable car-park. Based in central Sutton, next to the Holiday Inn, council offices, Sedcombe centre and a few minutes walk away from the main shopping centre, it is easily accessible.

Our target is to raise £1.5 million in order to purchase the property by 12th July 2018.

Established in 1988, the Sutton Islamic Centre has been at the heart of the local Muslim community for over thirty years. The cornerstone of the SIC has been the mosque, which has served as a hub for enduring and deep commitment to worship.

Sutton Islamic Centre is a growing, vibrant and inclusive mosque, and has always been keen to develop the services it provides for its community. Consequently, this expansion will facilitate our goal to serve, educate and inspire both existing and future attendees.

A larger Islamic Centre for the SIC would benefit our evergrowing community. This move will promote unity by allowing for larger congregations; provide a bigger educational centre for both adults and children; and finally, it will encourage inter-faith relations through conferences to generate discussion.

Throughout the years, we've seen our centre evolve. We now reach out to our Muslim brothers and sisters, non-Muslim friends and supporters, both nationally and internationally, to help us achieve our target in this virtuous project.

The Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) said: “Whoever builds a mosque for Allah (SWT), Allah (SWT) will build for him likewise in paradise”

Details:The mosque has already received pledges on the night of Lailatul-Qaqdar and on Eid Day in the region of £170,000, with one Muslim brother pledging £100,000.

Please note that all donations/ Qard-I-Hasna should be deposited into the building account before 12th July 2018.
