In September Benjamin will be running the Mini Junior North Run & decided he would like to raise money for The Head & Neck Centre @ Sunderland Royal. As many of you will know I was diagnosed with Stage IV Tonsil Cancer - secondary in Lymph glands in neck last September. . This was caused by the HPV virus - same virus that causes Cervical cancer . Never heard of that cancer I can hear you say - no neither had I .I then had a 9 hour operation to remove the tumours , 5 back teeth removed before treatment could start & then 6 weeks of daily Radio therapy & 6 weekly sessions of chemotherapy at the same time. The side effects were horrific & I have some long term damage but I am here & starting to live again

. I can not thank the team @ the Royal enough they have literally saved my life . They do amazing work & as a thank you to them Ben wants to raise as much as he can as he said " I love my mum & they have made her better"💕.
