Story
I am planning to cycle 2000km from John O'Groats to Land's End to raise money for Health Point Foundation.
Health-Point Foundation helps alleviate pain for thousands of refugees in camps in Thessaloniki, Greece. Funds go towards purchasing essential dental equipment and medication to carry out the dental work and help them to reach more camps.
HPF is a grassroots, NGO, non-profit, volunteer run relief organisation which was set up for the provision of medical, dental and educational services to displaced individuals regardless of religion, race and nationality.
Their vision is to fulfil the needs of those who have fled war and poverty, whilst maintaining the dignity of these individuals.
I volunteered with this charity earlier this year and the work they do is so incredibly valuable. The patients they care for have often had to endure hardship, shocking conditions and many have lost loved ones. The only access to dental care and relief of pain in the camps is through Health Point Foundation and so they are trying to get to as many camps and reach as many people as possible. Any money raised will directly benefit those suffering daily dental pain in these camps.
I plan to cycle from John O'Groats to Land's End solo and unsupported (and via a slightly wiggly route) over roughly 20 days and would love to raise some money along the way to help this worthy charity.
