e are a small group of local volunteers who plant and look after the flower beds in Shepperton village, even managing throughout Covid. Hanging baskets, on the other hand, are run by Spelthorne Council. It isn't generally known, but the flower baskets you have seen in the High Street each year are thanks to sponsorship by local people or businesses (application forms on Spelthorne Council’s website). Last year’s prices were £122/ £61 full/half-basket to cover watering costs. As this is quite a commitment we would like to provide the opportunity for others to contribute a smaller amount and so brighten up the village even more with additional baskets.
