I've raised £5000 to Keep JUNA an 82 year old historic sailing vessel sail in Puget Sound sail for another 80 years
Organised by Matthew kirschebaum
JUNA has been sailing the waters of Puget Sound since 1938 where she was launched at Blanchard Boat Works on Lake Union in Seattle, WA. She was the first design drawn and realized by the genius navel architect Ben Seaborn. It was the vessel that also launched his troubled but prestigious career. JUNA was drawn on a paper napkin and was the seed that planted a lifelong dream of Mr Seaborn that would eventually change marine design and boatbuilding forever around the world. Ben was 16 when he drew JUNA. Unfortunately he never got to see how JUNA changed the world of navel architecture and marine construction.
